Friend

Friend is a wearable AI companion pendant with a microphone, speaker, touch haptics and reactive lighting. Pair it over Bluetooth with the Friend app on an iPhone and keep the phone connected to the internet. While connected, it listens to the activities the user shares and replies aloud. The app also supports text conversation, photos and a view of shared memories. Each device companion has its own name, voice and personality; users cannot create a custom character, but can meet and switch among companions in the app. The official price is $249. Memories last 30 days on the free plan; an optional $9.99/month subscription keeps them longer. The company estimates 18–24 hours of typical battery life and about 30 minutes for a full USB-C charge. It currently requires an iPhone and does not support Android. The company says conversations are encrypted, personal data is not sold for advertising, and users can request deletion by email. It is not a medical, legal or crisis service.
