Kyndred is a Romanian startup (founded by Rareş Moşescu and Alex Băraru of the tutoring platform Meditaţii.ro) building AI characters with a face, voice and memory. Unlike a chatbot with an avatar glued on, a Kyndred character has a real-time generative Live2D face, emotion-aware voice that carries tone and pace, and tiered 'living memory' that sticks to what matters and lets small details fade — like a real relationship. Its first character, Lila, is a YouTuber who writes her own music and co-streams with a founder; for individuals, Maya is a one-on-one character with real-time voice, live expressions and cross-session memory on your phone, free to start.
